A Gal And Her Bible…

A Gal and her Bible.

__

A year ago, while speaking with June Hunt, I was going on and on about my fear of missing God’s perfect will for my life. Honestly, I felt like I had made so many mistakes; I just couldn’t afford to waste any more time. I was in the middle of making a decision that I didn’t have peace about, and I was talking through the uneasiness to make sure it wasn’t just fear.

June let me pour my heart out, but she said this as my words ended awkwardly. “Bettye, it’s honorable that you desire to know God’s will for your life, BUT what you Need is to KNOW God’s word.” Those words pierced all of the confusion and set me free.

I read and study a lot, but I don’t boast about that. I love to share Bible verses; that’s not too fancy, either. But to truly know God’s word means to Know the God of the Word, and a girl can and will boast about that.

I encourage you to read your Bible; sometimes, we can’t get right mentally, emotionally, and physically because we don’t know or believe God’s word about our circumstances. Y’all, God is good, and He does good, and all of His goodness is penned in scriptures.

My Bible is worn and torn, but internally, I’m good; because I’ve hidden these passages in my heart. I would not be the woman I am today, after all, that I have experienced, had I not sought God with all my heart and soul.

Y’all Be Encouraged,

“This is the generation of them that seek him, That seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.”

Psalm 24:6 KJV
